About me

I’m curious about people…

…and that is possibly the single most important thing that drives my activity now. In hindsight, I probably should have become an anthropologist, a psychologist, or a sociologist. But instead, I became an engineer. This has opened up an amazing world for me – based on science, logic, design and technology, focused on research and innovation but also on very pragmatic aspects like efficiency, cost-benefit and scalability. The core of my engineering education is an M.Sc. degree in Computer Science that I received from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology with a TEMPUS scholarship at Glasgow Caledonian University. The first field where I applied my knowledge was industry automation – bringing digital SCADA systems to heating and power plants across Poland. Then I moved on to the telecom world, working on communication network equipment for Lucent Technologies and S3 Group, supporting the Internet revolution in the late 90s and the early 2000s.

Around 2004 I joined a new domain: ‘medical systems’ where I largely stay to this day. It is a fascinating field, combining a compelling mission of improving and saving patients’ lives with extremely high requirements for quality and reliability of the solutions that we build.

Until now I have spent almost two decades working in the medical technology space. Starting as a software engineer then moving on to manage teams and groups designing and delivering connected medical devices and digital health applications for leading MedTech and Pharma companies like Philips, Cochlear, Merck, Mallinckrodt and others.

Over time, my interest in people pushed me to explore areas where I would have more interactions with diverse groups of stakeholders outside of the company and beyond the country, deep into the interconnected globalized ecosystem of MedTech and Pharma. After receiving postgraduate degrees in Management from Nicolas Copernicus University in Torun and then in International Selling at Technological University Dublin, I started various S&BD roles selling and architecting digital health services and solutions for life sciences customers.

In my current role at S3 Connected Health, I develop the company’s strategy and offering for medical device companies helping them take full advantage of the opportunities that connected medical devices and digital health services bring. To my in-depth knowledge of medical device design, I added experience in digital health strategies and digital therapy management solutions that scale across globally diverse markets. I split my time between Ireland and Poland and regularly attend and speak at MedTech events throughout Europe and the US.

I believe that digital health, both through technology and through redesigned clinical pathways, is dramatically changing the landscape of healthcare delivery and is enabling services that improve patient outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, and drive the move toward value-based care models. MedTech and Pharma companies increasingly often look to connectivity and around-the-device solutions to remain meaningful stakeholders in healthcare.

In 2019 I graduated from Erickson Coaching International, a renowned Canadian coaching school and received my Erickson Professional Coach certificate. Since then, I work with life sciences executives and leaders globally who are responsible for digital health and digital transformation programs at their organizations. I help them achieve their goals, expand their horizons, and reach their full potential. My focus is on using cross-functional mental models to improve the quality and speed of thinking and enhance decision-making processes. I use solution-focused coaching based on the Erickson methodology that is fully aligned with the International Coaching Federation’s standards and code of ethics.

In my free time, I can mostly be found reading books from all possible domains and cultural circles or, when I have my fill of intellectual work, I go outdoors – climbing mountains on various continents or doing one of my cross-country hikes and other outdoor adventures, one of which I described in a book.

I am motivated by human interactions, curiosity, diversity, and depth of thinking. I pride myself on building long-term relationships based on trust and value – both in my personal and professional life.

If the above sounds like the right experience and approach for you…

…we should probably talk.
